Seltzer Management Group, Inc. (SMG) was founded by S. Richard Seltzer in 1990, as a commercial real estate services firm. The original mission of SMG was to provide quality commercial real estate services for both local and national financial institutions with foreclosed properties in northwest Florida. Following Mr. Johnson’s retirement in the spring of 2026, Ryan Johnson and Josh Scribner became the majority shareholders of SMG. They remain dedicated to continuing the legacy and principles established by both Mr. Seltzer and Mr. Johnson; providing quality services locally in Panama City Beach and throughout Florida.

SMG has upheld a long-lasting contractual relationship with Florida Housing Finance Corporation since 1991.  All the while continuing to expand clientele throughout Florida and scope of services which include credit underwriting, construction loan servicing, permanent loan servicing, Federal Labor Standards oversight, compliance monitoring, and financial monitoring.
